Role Overview
We at MOSS ICT, the technology provider for M-BIRR, Ethiopia’s first and now largest mobile payments provider are embarking on our next chapter of our exciting growth in Ethiopia.
As part of this we require a very special person who will act as our customer “ambassador” and first point of contact for anyone contacting or visiting M-Birr. We need this person to have a unique personality type which conveys authority without arrogance, gravitas and professionalism with a strong sense of flexibility and humour. She needs to be a team player with an ability to fit into a growing team with a shared belief that what she is doing has the potential to bring about real change in Ethiopia.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Sign guests/customers in and handle customer’s special requests by linking to concerning departments/managers.
- Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information.
- Maintains office schedule by picking-up and delivering items.
- Serves customers by backing-up receptionist; answering questions; forwarding messages; confirming customer orders; keeping customers informed of order status.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
- Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Handles with all office administrative paper work under the guidance of staff and management team. Responsible to handle incoming and outgoing letters and the overall documentation system of the office
- Make sure the availability of all the necessary office materials ahead of reasonable time, and responsible to coordinate and administer purchase and restocking of office supplies when the need arises.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Education And Experience
- Preferably a B.A degree or diploma in secretarial and office administration, Tourism and Hotel Management, and related filed.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in hospitality, reception and customer service
Key Requirements
The job holder of this position assists the company administration, serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system and is responsible for the Fleet Management.
